College these days...

Here goes nothing!!

Hi everyone!! I’m not going to be a cliché blogger in the first paragraph, who generally starts off with introducing his name, address, so on... you’ll get a brief idea on me as you progress reading my so called “blog” which I know, no one is going to read; but hell with that, I’ll write this anyway at least for my own satisfaction. So I guess it is time to unveil the name of the greatest amateur blogger of all time; I know, I’m acting a bit naïve. But so are all; who does something new in their life for the ‘very first time’

*now comes the boring part*

My name is Ajith Thomas. I am pursuing B.com(Honors) at Jain University, Bangalore. Right now in my sophomore year at college; I am in the “so called phase of discovering myself”. Brought up in Dubai, what I have understood is the people here in India have a very different value system & are from diverse backgrounds. Being in Bangalore for about 2 years, I have seen many instances which has given me both happiness and sadness.
I am not saying that people in India are bad. Just that it hurts to see that people undermine others just because they are different. Even when they have achieved nothing in their life worthwhile, they think they have the competency of being the pundit in those fields and criticize others for the work that is being tried upon. What I can tell it to those is just two words, “Just shameful” those who does so, should feel embarrassed of themselves.

I feel the world is a giant farce where everyone is just trying to fit in; to make themselves part of a system which they do not belong. The sole reason being that they do not feel left out and be isolated. But through which they are losing their own self esteem as they are not expressing their own views but rather being submissive and listening to others so that they get along with the so called ‘cool people’.

  3. Novice writers like us mostly have lots to say, means to say it and words that betray us while we try to tell something. I now know what it feels like to read 'a train of thoughts' which was the same comment I had received the first time when I showed a piece to my cousin. Because honestly, this piece feels incomplete.

Keep at it, and you'll improve. You said you don't know who is going to read your blog? I will, and currently I am making a list of bloggers I'd like to share to the world.
Also, put your thoughts out there, watch people open up to you as you open up to them; getting to know someone that way is a different level of connection altogether!

    Please continue blogging! :-)
